What are some of your family's holiday traditions? OR What are you most looking forward to over Holiday Break?
For example, if you were Bob Cratchit from A Christmas Carol, you might write:
I look forward to going down the slide at Cornhill twenty times in honor of Christmas Eve and then playing blindman's buff again like a boy. Taking Tiny Tim to church is always special because of his thoughtful observations. My wife's cooking is always a treat, especially her scrumptious goose and Christmas pudding. I look forward to sitting around the fire with my family and passing the custard-cup back and forth while we revel and play games. Even though Mr. Scrooge doesn't understand it, Christmas Day is different from the rest of the days of the year, and I look forward to enjoying it with my family!
one of our traditions is not being alone with just our house hold family. We go to a grandparents house. This year i am going to my dads parents house. They have a cool house that has a mancave so I really am looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteOver the break me and my family don’t usually do much that isn’t expected last year we just put up a tree and didn’t even bother to put lights or other festivities on we just dumped the gifts and some still had postal stuff on them. But this year will be different I can tell due to the emptiness of my mom’s calendar the excitement that has grown since last year. We plan to chop down a tree form our new farm and I intend to hack of the lower limbs for more gift capacity. I plan for some sort of explosion or something occur and we all look outside to find snow has fallen and school ha ben delayed for nine years!!! I want a new computer… I think I have earned it.

My family doesn't have any real traditions so I will talk about what me and my family plan to do over break. We were going to go to Boise, Idaho to visit my grandparents but we couldn't find any plain tickets cheap enough so my mom, brother, neighbors and I are going to wintergreen to ski/snowboard. I'm looking forward to watching all the college football bowl games and the N.F.L. Another thing I am looking forward to is the huge Christmas dinner that my other grandmother makes. Finally, I am looking forward to getting up early and opening up all of the presents I get.

ReplyDeleteOver winter break I am looking forward to just chilling out. I am gunna' hang with my brows. I will play lots of video games. And I will get lots of presents. I will also finish my reading way to early and not read anything else.
ReplyDeleteMy family doesn't have any traditions we usually go to our cousin' house on Christmas day and come home the next day. I pretty much a lazy slob on winter break, just because of the lack of things to to. This year I hope it will be different. For example I want to start training my dog to come in the house on her own. And for the first time I'm actually looking forward to spend some time with family. In all I hope this winter break is more exciting.
ReplyDeleteMy family does not have a set Christmas tradition.Usually we open stockings first. Then we open stockings. We then eat breakfast and go to church. Then we sort of loaf around and write thank you cards.

My family and I have a couple a traditions. First of all, we have Christmas brunch with a couple of "friends" from C-ville. The next tradition we have is we celebrate Hanukkah with other friends from DC. (Its a long story.) The last tradition I have is I bake Chocolate Peppermint Cookies with my Mom. What I am most looking forward to over break is PRESENTS and VIDEO GAMES!!! (I emphasized that.)
ReplyDeleteYes I am looking forward to Christmas. I am so excited. It is my favorite time of the year. I am also looking forward to spend with friends and family. This means more time to go hunting with my Dad.
